About the Host
Greetings!
My name is Ashley Davidson, your host of the Here We Glow Podcast. I grew up in both small-town Iowa (mom & bonus dad) and the Chicagoland area (dad & bonus mom). I am a lover of live music, sushi, family time, and novice baking.
Education
I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a Bachelor's in Communication Studies (emphasis in public relations) and minor in Marketing in 2014. Currently, I recently earned my Juris Doctor degree at IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law in May 2019. Currently, I amserving as an Associate Attorney at a Chicago employment and business law firm. About HWG Pod
You may be wondering why I started HWG Podcast. Well, I felt a void for a community for professionals to walk through the trenches together as we navigate through our early careers, while valuing our personal lives. I wanted to begin a journey of personal and professional elevation, but I wanted to include my peers across the country.
As I felt this void, I began to ponder various areas of focus that successful professionals, new and tenured, tend to flourish in-- physical and mental health, finances, spirituality, networking, building strong personal relationships, branding, etc. Through the lens of social media and interpersonal interactions, I have observed my peers beginning the process of "glowing up" in these various areas, and it would be useful to learn from people just like me (emerging professionals).
In comes Here We Glow Podcast! On the show, I will sit and chat with emerging professionals to share not only highlights, but also lowlights of glowing into their purpose. Here, we will strive to glow into our best personal and professional selves through education, empowerment, strategy, and transparency.
